The Emancipation Proclamation is possibly
one of the most important docu ments in U.S history. Though
it is also on of the least understood
What Is It?Edit
The Emancipation Proclamation was not the perminent solution to slavery. The perminent solution was the 13th amendment which was not for a couple of years until December 6th, 1865.
The Emancipation Proclimation only applied to states in rebellion. Another outcome was that many slaves were able to start to fight on the side of the union and fight for their freedom and lastly to preserve the union. To finalize this in the entire United States they isued the 13th amendment.
Fighting Off Other NationsEdit
Another idea of the Emancipation Proclimation was to exclude other Nations from the American Civil war.
